You will see God and not just Shiela in this book

I picked up this book because I am going to the Woman of Faith confrence this month and Shiela is one of the speakers! I read the book in just 4 days because I could not put it down. I was so used to reading books by authors and preachers who just focus on their life story. Shiela's book was different because she would mention a short paragraph about her life story and say 'and at that time I felt just like Issac in the Bible. Then she would have several pages about a Bible story with insights I had never heard before. She is such a great Bible teacher and you can see her theology training in her writing. I learned more about the Bible from her book than any other book I had every read. She helped me get out of the prosperity rut and 'The Secret' rut I was in. My sisters had told me to stop believing that you can make things happen yourself like the prosperity and 'The Secret' books talk about and realize that your prosperity will occur only when you align your will with God. I have never thanked God before for freedom but after reading this book and 'A Woman after God's Own Heart' I started having 20 minute morning devotions everyday and have thanked God for freedom from the old way of thinking I had. I now ask God what His will for me is today. Shiela doesn't sugar coat a walk with God. She tells you about the good and hard times and how God will be there through it all. I thank God for this book.
