Cute but definitely not for older women
I purchased this book with the intent to learn some new makeup tricks and create different and dramatic looks. The cover is beautiful but once inside, I realized that this book is more for teenagers (I myself am in my 30's). It does cover the basics but a lot of the looks are not for older women (20's and up). A lot of the colors they use are not for everyday and seem to be more for teenagers trying to make a statement. I didn't realize how important photography is in a makeup book and the photos here are not flattering. If you are a woman in her twenties and want to explore new and creative looks with a basic approach to technique, then this book is not for you. Bobbi Brown's Makeup Manual is definitely the way to go. Save this one for your teenage daughter or sister.

Out there!...sorta
i am A teen girl who has obsession with makeup, but this book in my opinion was a disaster. at the store i flipped through pages excitedly and ran to the counter to purchase it because the makeup looks were pretty, but over the past year or so i have continually reviewed the book and have liked it less and and less. this book does have very creative makeup ideas but they are not practical what so ever these looks could possibly be more appropriate on runway but even then not so much. if you want to discover a quite amazing makeup artist checkout Bobbi brown makeup Manuel, it was very helpful with everything from skincare aging face prep. eye prep, skin tone , nationality, career choice leading to the artist industry, makeup history, product history etc this book was amazin!!!!!

Horrible book
There is nothing useful about this book at all. I am very disappointed that I even bought this. They show you how to do some of the ugliest makeup looks. I would not recommend this.

Eye Candy Review
I liked it. Trying out the ideas in the book wasn't difficult, but they are not quite appropriate for the everyday wear. But, I'm glad that I bought it. Gave me some new ideas and a few good tips.

LoVeD iT!
i am a teen and i love to play with my makeup. this book gave me great tips on how to do my makeup and my friends and my mom always ask me how i do my makeup.
