    Enjoyable ride but . . .

I enjoyed the story and the view of the Fable world through the eyes of Thomas and James. It is a fun adventure.

Buyers should know that the e-book edition does NOT come with a code to download game content for Fable 3, whereas the physical book does.

Haven't Finished it Yet, but it Grabs you with a Monster's Strength!

Like the titular balvorn descended creatures, this prequel to Fable III storms your defenses immediately, gripping and hooking you so that you can only yearn to press onward. It's a heady mix of action and humor, which is exactly what has helped make the series so great. Highly recommended read.
In addition, the book comes with a 25 digit code to be used with XBox Live, snagging your Hero-to-be the Shardborne Sword, which is an exclusive DLC to -this- title. Snag them fast, otherwise, they may disappear along with the ancient wonders of Old ALbion!

    I Also Recommend:

Even if you haven't played the games this is a great book.

This is a real adventure story, about a boy's comming of age and an epic quest with his best friend. You also get a code for a pretty cool weapon in the 3rd game. This book is awesome.

    Awesome

I love the Fable games and so I was already looking forward to reading this book as soon as I saw it on the shelf. The characters are intriguing, and the story is well written. I even laughed out loud a few times.

A must read for any fan of the Fable series! Love the fact that it takes place in Fable 3's Ablion.
