While the story concept and the character development was excellent, the inconsistency within the book was horrible. The author couldn't have done much research before writing this and where was the editor or proofreader on this one? Examples: Italy is 7 hrs ahead of St. Louis. The author prefaced each chapter with the times for both places. The time difference kept changing. While several were the correct 7 hr difference, he then went to 5 hrs,, eight hrs, 9 hrs and in one place, 17 hrs which probably was due to the fact that he reversed the a.m. and p.m. The hair color of one character changed colors within a few paragraphs! Several typos including the same word typed twice within the sentence, omitted words which made the sentence incomplete and equal signs used instead of hyphens. Then we get to the medical errors. The woman is peacefully sleeping and has to be woken up by the nurse to be told that she is fully dilated and ready to push. Obviously, he has never been with a woman while she was in the final stages of labor. The conception takes place on February 16th and it's stated she's due around December 24th and actually delivers on the 23rd.. That's almost 46 weeks!!!!! Human gestation is 40 weeks. Honestly, did this author check any of his facts?

If you can get past all the above, it is still worth the read as the story itself was good. It would have been a 5-star book if he had kept his facts straight and the editing had been better.
