Plot 101 Anyone?
I read the first book, Into Danger and thought it was a very good debut novel. Not perfect - the first book had plotting issues agmonst other problems - but then you don't expect it from new authors. I took that into account and was willing to give the author a second try especially with her recent Romantic Times award. My mistake. I became so frustrated that I had to take the dog for a walk. Poor dog had to listen to me mutter all the way about Plot 101. Its apparent that the author trying too hard to make her books complex. Unfortunately convoluted plots and plot holes don't make great books. The sex is hot, I'll give her that and that alone well garner her fans. But is it enough? I would have given the book two stars but the silly 'little bird' made me grit my teeth!
