I think that this site is intended to provide readers with an opportunity to tell other people about books.

Posting comments that are self evidently mainly intended to put across a certain view of a subject generally (in this case homosexuality) which is a sin in the opinion of one person who has posted, is not what a site that reviews books should be about; it is disrespectful to readers and an abuse of the site. I am English and I'm writing this at home in the UK, but I spend a lot of time in the US and also have a home there. I'm well aware of how seriously Americans take principle of freedom of speech and maybe this is why the moderator doesn't remove such inappropriate remarks. But these remarks to not reflect well on either the people that post them or a system that allows such garbage to be placed on public view.
