It's Not Called Drama For Nothing
Wow!!! This book really stuck with me and I have to give a huge round of applause to Casey(Kara) Chang!!! She had the worst thing happen to her at her old hometown, and she gets the chance to have a fresh start in Ridgeport, Long Island. What makes Ridgeport so different is they dont focus on athletics, they focus on the Drama Club and the awesome shows they put on. Casey gets drawn into the DC and quickly gets into the role of stage manager and you see her struggles all thru the novel. She finally confesses to Kyle(her crush) and Brianna(the Type-A girl) and she feels her burden loosen up.
The pacing is very wild, but you get drawn in very quickly and end up rooting for Casey and the cast to make the show a success. I love the characters and the way the author sprinkles in emails sent to past Drama Club members to bring more insight to the characters actions and feelings.
Drama Club is now high on my list of books to turn my friends onto!
