I was visiting an Iranian market when I discovered this tome, dusty and dog-eared, lying in a stack of memoirs and foot fetish magazines. I purchased it, and a few of the magazines, to read at the small cottage I had rented along the Marun river. I was captivated by it. The fluid, barely recognizable, use of the English language challenged my understanding of what a story can be. As human waste floated by me on the Marun I realized how deeply this book reflects our human condition. Although I can't say I enjoyed reading it, it has a sturdy binding and could be used to beat a hobo to death should the need arise (hypothectically...).
