    B. J. Rudell combines great fantasy football strategy and humor

    B. J. Rudell combines great fantasy football strategy and humor in Fantasy Football For Winners. There are so many levels with this book. It truly is something for everyone. It reminds me of Mark St. Amant's book Committed: Confessions of a Fantasy Football Junkie with much more stats, tips and strategies. I look forward to Mr. Rudell's next book and can only hope it explores his fantasy baseball knowledge too.

Fun read, good mix of analysis/recommendations/humor. I've played fantasy football for years but have never put much strategy behind it. Maybe that's why I've never won my league. BJ has done a lot of research (way more than I have time to do), what he's saying seems to make sense, so I'm excited to try some of his suggestions this year! Thanks for writing this.

Probably the most innovative fantasy sports book around. I was expecting a typical fantasy "how to" guide. Instead, the author picks apart conventional wisdom that me and my friends have always based our strategy on--basically showing me what I've always done wrong, and how to change it. I'm kicking myself that I couldn't figure some of this out on my own. But then again, I don't have hundreds of hours to do all the research that this guy did.

This is also probably the funniest fantasy sports book. I don't say that lightly. The statistical analysis is real and serious. But commentary on successfully navigating family events or "obligatory travel" while managing your fantasy team is absolutely hilarious. So are the "Famous Days in Fantasy Football History" blurbs. It's roughly 2/3 serious and 1/3 funny. It could have worked as a 100% funny book, but then it wouldn't be as useful.

This is a very quick read for around 250 pages, with plenty of illustrations (also funny) to break it up. There's really no book quite like this one, and I wish there were more. That's why I'm giving it 5 stars.
