A Must-Read for any LeGuin Fan!

The Farthest Shore is an awesome book and the third in the Earthsea series. This book is truly amazing and if you liked A Wizard of Earthsea and The Tombs of Atuan, you absolutley have to read this book.

One of the better books I've ever read

Overall, I liked the whole of the Earthsea series, but this book was possibly the best. LeGuin is masterful at writing a high fantasy novel, while weaving the subtleties of life into it, in the broad sense. The story has it's own presence, making you feel like you fell out of the world into a new one full of magic at it's grandest. It questions thoughts on mortality along with morality, along with judgement and punishment.

    GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The third book is great considering some of the flaws of the second one. Once again Ged sets sail around earthsea to save the world. The book gets really good at the end when it all ties up.

    amazing

The book The Farthest Shore is a great book about a mage and a young prince on a quest to find the reason for the dissappearing magic of Earthsea. This book is a perfect book for people who like magic, quest stories, or even mysteries. I would have to say this is by far one of the best books i have ever read.

    a reviewer

The book, Farthest shore, is a great story about a young prince and his journey with the all-powerful ArchMage Ged/SparrowHawk. Their paths intwine as they seek the source of an evil blight that destroys all magic that it encounters. This has a interesting plot and should only be for people 12 and over.
