Can't half it!
This is an excellent guide to how to eat properly. I have had many issues with many 'fad' diets all along the way. This book was the first to explain in easy to read terms how your intake affects each part of your body from your skin, to your live and through to your colon. There really is no such thing as a diet, eating is a way of life. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in truly caring for there bodies, minds and souls.

A reviewer
This book is very educational, I totally recommend it to anyone that is interested in detoxing or even trying to lose weight. I originally was do this diet only for the detox, but I just finished the seven day prequel and actually lost 6 pounds already. I have done fasts before and usually they leave me feeling irratable, weak, and hungry 'basically miserable'. This diet actually has given me more energy than I had before. Everything she promised, she delivered. Its definately a challenge to stick to the meal plans but it seems to be worth it so far. This book is defenately worth the time and effort.

Another gimmick
The premise seemed sound, that by detoxing your system, your digestive system will be more effective. I followed the plan to the letter - the 7 day prequel to the fast, the one-day juice fast with fiber added to two servings, and am on the second day of the three day sequel. I am so disappointed. Instead of losing 3 to 8 pounds, I initially lost 2 and have since gained them back. This could be because I am plugged up with toxins. I am definitely not detoxed. I have not had a bowel movement since I started drinking the 'miracle juice'! I am bound up and miserable, and feel that the waste is poisoning my body. I have followed the plan to the letter: all of the greens, garlic, onions, cabbage, the unsweetened cranberry water, the flax seeds, and now plain yogurt. Be prepared for shopping at the health food store, and being hungry and weak on your juice fast. Then be prepared to be in bound up misery with no weight loss. This plan is just a money making gimmick. There are all sorts of 'recommended' brands, books (all her own) supplements, etc. Just another marketing ploy.

sceptical
I don't want to waste good money on bad, so I think that I may first go and leaf through it at Borders, and then if I think it has merit I will try it. I have lost 150 lbs on Atkins, still need to lost 70 more and am at a plateau. Perhaps this can kickstart my reducing again. I will let you know. If it works, I will not only let you know but will buy a book for myself and for my son.

Safe, Effective, Metabolically Sound!,
It's blatantly obvious to many of us in the medical profession that weight gain in the 21st century is no longer a matter of cutting down on calories, carbs, or doing more exercise. As a metabolically-oriented psychiatrist, I am keenly aware of how many common medications such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and major tranquilizers can pack on anywhere from 10-30 pounds in a month! And this weight gain has nothing to do with what you are eating. Fast Track makes common (biochemical) sense and is on the cutting-edge of health. I predict that within the next five years it will be general knowledge that 'fattening chemicals' like those uncovered in Fast Track are a primary underlying factor sabotaging our best weight loss efforts.
