What an awesome addition to the Fatal series. All of our old friends were back, Freddie, Gonzo and all of the PD crew. Plus, Elin and Freddie's mom come in to play. Not to mention Jeannie McBride. And of course, Scotty. The true here, in my opinion, in this book, was Michael, Jeannie's boyfriend. Anyone that has gone through Jeannie's ordeal knows that patience is what is needed and the patience and love and support that he showed her made her feel safe, and that was exactly what she needed. I was moved to tears several times during his scenes. It was written PERFECTLY. I find myself always wanting more and wanting the story longer, and I felt this one could have used an epilogue. I understand that this is an ongoing series and there has to be some intrigue, I just didn't want the story to end. Fatal Flaw is the perfect example of a book that the villain that you wouldn't exactly expect until you dig a little deeper, and luckily her "rock" was there for her when she really needed him and helped break the case wide open. I love the dynamics of all of the characters, and when reading all of the Fatal books, I can picture myself there with them, I am totally ensconced in the story. Can't wait for the next Fatal installment.Show Less

    Love the Fatal series

Marie Force is my favorite author right now. This series is the best and each book gets better and better. I'm going to reread them all and look forward to Fatal Attack later this year.

    Like reading a soap opera

I had to force myself to finish reading. I realize that these are written for escapism but at least make somewhat believeable. The main characters should be cannonized and all but one of the remaining characters are just short of Mother Teresa.

    Not bad

This series was pretty good. The only down side it, it would have been nice to see the developement between Crystal and Gonzo. The books only gave the reader a quick: hey they'er together whoopty freakin do: kind of thing. Other than that it was easy to get hooked.

    Enjoyable read

A lot going on in this book. First one I read in the series, but easy to pick up the characters and what has happened previously. Far fetched as to how they actually end the story. Also a lot more romance and touchy feely stuff than one would typically expect in a murder mystery.

    exc read

    Fatal Flaw by Marie Force
I have a few other books by Marie and I'm not sure why I kept putting off reading them other
than the covers look dark so I thought a lot of killings and suspense. I'm a bit squeamish around
blood and such but wow was I happy to learn this is more than a suspense, it's got a bit of
romance and a lot of mystery to it. I've not yet read the other books in the series but I do
have them but while reading I was brought up to date on the other characters without giving
away a lot of detail about the other books in the series. Makes me now want to go read them
a lot sooner. Story starts out with Nick and Samantha upon returning from their honeymoon
to the island of Bora Bora. She returns to her job as a police detectives and he as a US state
senator in the DC area. They both get inundated with well wishes from the public with thousands
of cards. She's on a case that started shortly after midnight with a murder. There are no clues
and it's a senseless one. As time goes on and threats come in the form of more well wishes in the
greeting cards her father is hospitalized. The book follows a few of the other detectives giving
this more a family atmosphere than just a work one. People do care about their partners and their
lives outside the office. Like how all the crimes were all tied into one and I like how it all
came about. Lot of mystery and trying to figure out what the missing piece was to it all. Other
personal things happen to Nick and Sam but he's got a nice gift for her. They did want to go
further with their relationship with a boy from an orphanage. Others in each of their offices are
also in this book. Just well rounded collection of people doing their jobs. Love this series!

    Fantastic!

Just back from their honeymoon, Sam is pulled into a puzzling case while dealing with a threat of her own. When the deaths multiply and the threat escalates, a connection so misguided astonishes Sam and her team and they’ll have to hurry and catch this serial killer before another death occurs. Oh man, what a great story that I did not want to see end. This fast-paced, non-stop action and thrill a minute ride kept my adrenaline pumping as Sam hurried towards an explosive conclusion. With an awesome cast and amusing banter, this fantastically romantic and entertaining series continues to warm my heart and I look forward to every adventure with Nick and Sam.

    Best of the series!

This series has it all, romance, frienship, family and suspense. You will not be dissapointed with any of the fatal books. Sam and Nick are the ultimate powerful DC couple and I can't get enough of them.
