    Love this book

    Every recipe I have made has been a success. I use it at least 4-5 times a week. Most recipes are easy to make with a little advance planning. We now bake bread once a week (my toddler loves to help) because there isn't a store bought brand that even comes close to the lovely taste and texture of her recipes. Everyone, from our teen with food allergies to our devout carnivore (husband), in our family loves the meals I have made from this book. Too bad I didn't find it sooner.

    Our Favorite Cookbook

    My family has enjoyed every meal I've made from this book! I'm not much for long, complicated recipes. This book has easy recipes with lots of substitutions. We do buy a lot from health food stores, but our local grocery has most of the ingredients, or at least substitutions (spaghetti for udon, peanut butter for almond butter). We never found mirin, but the recipes with this ingredient are great without.

    Life Changing Book

    Unlike previous review, I found this book not only full of beneficial information, but easy to follow and easy to find ingredients. Maybe the previous reader should stop shopping at the 7-11, and put the time and energy into feeding the family. The way Ms. Lair breaks down each recipe to feed it to a baby or toddler is also great. I love this book and use it atleast five times a week. The quinoa salad is a huge favorite.

    Don't buy it

    A great idea but definately too difficult to follow along. I am very aware of healthy eating habits and thought I had found a gem with this book but discovered that the ingredients were just to difficult and hard to find. If you do all your shopping at a healthfood store it might be more practical. I was very disappointed.
