Unquestionably handsome, but at $75 and so oversized that you need to have to read it on a table four feet wide (note: for this reason tghe book is not for the very young or the very old, neither of whom will be able to handle it without tearing the pages), there are far better choices - I am disappointed. The text is extremely thin and not particul;arly engaging (particularly the "celebrity" essays, which read as filler) and the history presented is often incomplete and in many areas simply wrong. There are a number of illustrated books that have recently been published on Fenway Park that are equally handsome and far easier to handle than this, and Fenway 1912 is unmatched as far as a written history pof the park. Do yourself a favor and instead of dropping all your money on this, by two or three other Fenway titles.
