First let me start by saying that I read at least 3 books a week. I prefer that a book has over 4 hundred pages; yet, I found this book a waste of time and pages. It would have been a better book if the author told the story in half the time (literally). Too much time is spent saying nothing or taking the scenic route to no where. This book reads like it's 1000 pages long. The author uses paragraphs and sometimes pages to say what should have been said in a sentence. The main character (Jennifer) never got me to care about her or for her. There was just too much whining and self-indulgence. The author relies on you buying into the main character's pseudo alter-ego (split personality) to explain Jennifer's abilities to do her job; not realizing that Jennifer and Ashlyn are one in the same. Just because you go by two names does not make you two people. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. This book is crap; though, I have read worst. However, I will not read anything else by Jessica Brody.

    Nothing original

I was SO unimpressed by this book that I considered returning and getting my money back before before donating it to charity. Nothing new here -- nice girl goes undercover to expose the bad guys, love gets in the way, mishaps happen, blah, blah, blah. It's like someone took 'One for the Money' and 'The Spellman Files', smooshed them together and called it a day. Those books, however, were much more entertaining and original. Don't bother with this one.
