American culture needs this

Being "fierce" is not about being mean, but about being bold, about confronting reality in a way which is always, always, always respectful of the others involved. Not easy to do, but the tools provided help quite a bit in figuring out how to interact with others courageously and genuinely, in a variety of situations.

The intended target of the book is leaders at various levels in the business world. The effective target is much more broad: teachers, school administrators, churches, other nonprofits, mentors, parents.

A must for professionals in management!

Excellent book for anyone in upper management. You have to be ready to be honest with yourself and your team if you want these techniques to work, but it is well worth the effort. Insightful, informative, and even funny at times. Light bulb was continually going off over my head during this read. A must have for any true managers library.
