Excellent book, GREAT story and included books that fleshed out the main storyline.

I have to give this graphic novel a couple dozen thumbs up!! This was one of the most anticipated storylines in recent DC comics history. It was shocking to the way the characters handled the events of Final Crisis. It was also fun to see Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew, even if for a couple panels, again. All in all an EXTREMELY EXCELLENT story. Told wonderfully and including all the side stories that made it all fit together nicely.

I would write a review if I had understood any of this book

As a long time comics fan, this was the most frustratingly confusing epic I've ever read. It made NO sense. None, whatsoever. It was a poorly plotted excuse to kill Batman and make an "impact" but in the end you're left wondering just what in the hell happened. DC used to be good at this sort of thing: see the original Crisis and, more recently, Sinestro Corps War. They have hope for redemption too: see the upcoming Blackest Night. But this is, bar none, the worst major event in comics history. It is atrocious.

    Could be better....

Overall this novel is ok at best. The art is great, but the story gives you the run around several times. You'll read little side stories which barely fit into the plot as a whole and overall make it more eclectic.
