    Enjoyable book

Pretty good book, could have used a bit more editing, some episodes don't ring true. I gave it four stars because the writer can tell a good story which is 90% of any book.

Ella Lantz is a young single woman living the Amish life with her family. Her brother is getting ready to marry one of her best friends and moves out of the house on his family's land. It is very near the lavender fields that Ella tends so she moves in with the idea that she will convert the first floor to a lavender shop and still be close enough to tend her fields.

Alex Caldwell, who is in a witness protection program, moves into the family home and specifically into the bedroom that Ella has just vacated. Alex was brought to the family by the Bishop who feels the need to help him as part of a 'payback' to the authorities that had assisted him and his congregation in the past. Alex, becomes 'Andrew Lantz', a family cousin from Pennsylvania.

Ella knows all about 'Andrew' but still feels drawn to him. In order for him to remain low key he is put to work helping Ella in her lavender fields. Soon the mysterious events start and we are drawn into the mystery of Andrew.

This is a fun mystery with just the right amount of romance and adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it to lovers of romance, mystery, and/or Amish adventures.
