    Great Read

I was a little weary at first of how well my two year old would sit through this long book. My son loves this book. My brother-in-law is a firefighter so hes really into anything that has to do with firefighters. He also loves animals. At first when I flipped through the book there were not many pictures but he did not seem to mind that at all. He sat contently and listened to the whole story. He even kept asking why the big cat was so mean to the little cats. He said that was not nice of him. I think this is a great book and many children will love it. The length of it is a little bit long and I was suprised my two year old sat through it but he did and he really enjoyed it.

    Good story about redemption.

My kids all like this book and I love the deeper story of how Pickles was not a bad cat or a good cat. A great learning story for kids and fun to read too.

    Pretty Good

I bought this for my 3 year old. Of course he can't read yet but he loves books so I got it. Some of the pages are very long & he gets tires of waiting for me to read the whole page. He gets the gist & wants to move on. Cute story. I'm sure he'll enjoy it more once he's reading to himself.

    Good choice

This book was great for my 6 year old to read. Most of the words are on the 1st grade level and he was so excited to read a "big" book by himself!

    LOVE this book!

Read this when I was a kid in the hospital during the 80's and had to have it for my birthday. One of the greatest children's books I have ever read. I have thought about it over the years before I bought it.

My favorite as a kid...and inspired me later in life

This book was such a favorite of mine when I was little. I'm going to pick it up as a baby gift for my Neice Morgan. (She was born yesterday). I made my mom read me this book every night when I was little, and was always fascinated with fire trucks. Guess what, I'm now in a fire department as a medic, and will be starting firefighter training! Too bad we don't allow cats in the fire house...Pickles was such a good fire house cat too!

Pickles was not a good cat. Pickles was not a bad cat.

This is the book I learned to read with and it brings back fond memories. The book reads,'Pickles was not a good cat. Pickles was not a bad cat.' It is a great story with a happy ending.

    Mom/ children's book seller

Ok baby boomers, who remembers Captain Kangaroo reading this while we ate our cornflakes in front of the tv? I sure do! It's a great story showing that all bad characters can repent & learn to do good. Good story - good lesson.

    Pickles is the BEST

When my son was 3, he received this book as a gift from a friend. He loved this book so much that for his birthday he asked for a cat so that he could name him Pickles. He got his cat, named him Pickles and 8 years later - we still have a great story to tell!!

Go Pickles! The Cat with Big Paws!

I loved the book with Pickles in it. I used to read it when I was little and I recommend the book to anyone who will ask. Enjoy reading the story. My favorite part was when pickles showed his BIG paws.

The Fire Cat Is The Bomb

I used to read it all the time when i was little and now i want to read it to my younger friends. I know they'll love it and so will you if you just read it. Pickles the cat has to prove to the firemen and everyone else that he really cares for the other cats in the neighborhood
