Good book.

Our book club read it. I never would have picked it but found myself enjoying the story and finished the book quickly.

    Being generous with 1 star

This was the worst book I've ever read and unfortunately I paid full price.. Actually I shouldn't say I read it, it was so awful I tossed it out after 10 pages!! There should be a law against such awful awful books

    Disappointed Fan

What a disappointment. The dialogue was infantile as our heroine's best responses to danger ranged from, 'You're sick!' to 'No Way!' In Fatal Tide we had the detective dolphins and this time we get the psychic arson investigators. While I¿ve enjoyed many of Ms. Johansen¿s novels in the past, it may be time to give up. I would continue, but my pain is very well expressed in the Kirkus review above. Don¿t waste your time or money.

    Terrible Main Characters

I have read every book written by Iris Johansen. I will never read another one. I have given up on her books. Ever since she started writing about Eve Duncan her books have steadly gone downhill. The Eve Duncan character is in every book, only the names have been changed. Her male leads are always too patient and bend to the woman's every selfish whim. Don't bother with her books anymore.

    Awful!!

The relationship between the 'hero' and 'heroine' seemed forced, as was most of the dialogue. The paranormal plot could have been interesting in the hands of a talented author, such as Dean Koontz. In the past, I've looked to Ms. Johansen to provide a brisk, enjoyable read, but no more. Lately, her stories are bad retreads of her earlier work.
