Doesn't Compare

I read both Silverwing and Sunwing, two of my favorite books, but Firewing made me angry. It didn't have the same theme of Silverwing and Sunwing, which was to save bats and their world. Firewing was only about getting Shade's son Griffin out of a 'death world' so-to-...
I read both Silverwing and Sunwing, two of my favorite books, but Firewing made me angry. It didn't have the same theme of Silverwing and Sunwing, which was to save bats and their world. Firewing was only about getting Shade's son Griffin out of a 'death world' so-to-say. The first book left you with a nice ending, and the second one left you with an amazing ending that wrapped everything. I thought that Firewing was unnessary to the first two, and didn't compare, especially the ending. (the ending made me so sad and upset i wished i had never read any of the books)

    Good/Bad

Firewing was suspensful and interesting, like the other two books...until the ending. It wasn't complete, and it was uneccessary, and very sad it just left off as a hanging ending. So far, Oppel hasn't made any sign that he's writing another new book. Not to mention, the plot seemed to be very much like Sunwing's. A son trying to find his father? That sounds very familiar. Also, Shade was the main character in the other two, and now we're left with his son. Not to mention, Sunwing wrapped up the story perfectly. The whole book just seems like it could be kicked out of the series. And then, there is Goth. He keeps on coming back. It was good in the first two books, but this book overdo's it.

    Firewing

Now before I start I would like to say I did like the book. Now, I really thought the book was good and all but the ending stunk. All the other books were fine in the series but this one's ending stunk. It left me thinking 'What happens next ?' but still, the book was good just not the end. Like some other people said, it made me mad too.
