    Somewhat accurate.. Great story

As a decendant of Tom Tate, there is one fact you should know. Tom was not the second person to fly the glider. When Orville and Wilber wanted to try a manned flight, they selected Tom, cousin of my mothers cousin William Tate, as the choice because he was light enough for their early glider experaments, but had enough "mass" to simulate the effects that a human would have on their airframe. Tom was not only the first boy to fly a non balloned powered flight, he was the first person. Orville was the second to take flight in the glider after. Great book!
