Firsst Snow in the Woods by Carl Sams

This engaging encounter with nature and words is a wonderful book for Adults as well as Children. The photography is incredible and allows your spirit to soar. The narrative story enhances the photos beautifully.

Adults will appreciate the extraordinary quality of the photos and the story. This book will renew your spirit and free a sense of enchantment that all too often is trapped within as we grow up.

Children will love the story and the way the animals are so personal and believable.

This is a great addition to every library and will bring pleasure to each re-reading!

Don't forget to buy "A Stranger in the Woods" and "Lost in the Woods" by the same author.

    Carl Sams pleases grandchildren

First Snow is the woods is a great gift book or just to have in your children's collection. The book reads like something that is smooth as silk, if that makes sense. There are seasons that children relate to and yet they are described in a soothing way. My grandson loved reading and rereading this book

Easy to read and beautifully photographed. Even lovelier than "A Stranger in the Woods".

Simple wording encourages a respect for nature, the animals as well as their surroundings, and the effects of the changing season. Full of absolutely glorious photographs. Perfect for younger children, say under 12 years, but enjoyable even for an adult.
