FISH AND GHOSTS is the first in Rhys Ford’s Hellsinger series. Tristan Pryce returns to his family estate, the Hoxne Grange after the unfortunate death of his Uncle Mortimer. He is now tasked with running the estate that has been haunted for years. However, Dr. Wolf Kincaid and his paranormal researchers from Hellsinger Investigations, are hired to put this to rights and debunk the idea of a haunted house and ghosts. As their meeting starts off as business, it soon turns into something far more carnal than either of them expected.

Ford creates such a spooky ambience for this book. I loved the lush descriptions, the kooky characters and the paranormal aspect to this storyline. It definitely makes it unique and highly entertaining. There are some instances where I thought the narrative strayed a little bit, resulting in some slower parts. However, it always tightens up once again and works itself out.

If there was one word I had to use to describe this, it would be fun. It’s really enjoyable to see these two vastly different men finding love in each other. Paired with the upbeat dialogue and the ghost hunting, FISH AND GHOSTS becomes a book that stands out as unique and sexy!

I LOVE M/M romance and have read a ton of it. This was by far the worst one I've read. And I'm being generous w/3 stars.I hate that I spent 6.99!
The whole book read like a bad sitcom. Not laughing at the jokes, feeling that the chemistry between Tris and Wolf was forced. All the references to the bare feet when they were cold all the time, hello socks, shoes!(The auth must have a foot fetish ;) ) The secondary characters were completely useless (someone else could have thrown that ring or anything else). And why again did we call the mother?
The author kept making references to what I'm assuming are old TV show or movies? no idea? The last one I did get! Ghostbusters! Or I hope it was, if not I really didn't get any of them.
They first made Tris a space cadet but never followed through with that.
And what happened with the Aunt and Uncle? No closure? (They found ghosts which proved their point, so...)
The storyline itself, Wolf is quick to talk about himself his work and his family in GREAT detail. But unless I missed it never once does he actually ask or encourages Tris to talk about his work etc. You get bits here and there but given by Tris but nothing in detail.
Wolf is very touchy/feely but you don't "feel" it. When he kisses tris on the neck I want to "feel" that. And the sex sense the author used a couple of words I haven't heard since BIO 101! Way to techical more touching less proper words.
She used enough F bombs throughout the book, so getting down and dirty is not the problem.
The only reason why I gave this 3 instead of 2 was the last chapter and the Epilogue really saved it!
    Plus those cute dogs!

Overall I may try RF again but NEVER will I pay anymore than .99
