This book was phenomenal. It really caused me to reflect on my own life. The examples Chapman used were interesting, easy to follow,
and relatable. Often times I found myself relating his stories to my own life and could easily put myself in the situations he presented.
Although this book is not a tell-all for relationship fixes, I really grew from studying Chapman’s words.

He gives great advice and presents it in an easily understood manner. He really gives detailed, well-explained definitions for key
aspects of the book. For example, Chapman dove into the love language “words of affirmation” and shared a story about someone he
met that struggled with this love language, and he discussed how he helped the man improve. Then he explained the different types of
affirmations through words (i.e. words of encouragement, words of praise, kind words) and gave several paragraphs describing the
meaning and usage of each word, followed by advice for those who struggle with this love language.

Overall, it was a wonderful read because it caused me to reflect on my own life and immediately helped me understand the way my
loved ones think and feel. It provided me with new insights and brought a greater understanding of people as a whole to the forefront of
my mind (during and after reading it). I honestly feel I can relate to people better and form more meaningful relationships because of this
book. I would highly recommend this to anyone – not only those who want to fall in love, but to anyone who wants to understand people
better and improve their current relationships.

    Not a Christain

However, being a single person it feels good to be included. Sadly, in our culture, being single, especially older and single, particularly if one is a woman, is seen as a negative. Even though I am not a Christain, I believe that older single women have a divine purpose in God's plan and have great contributions to make in their families, workplaces, communities and churches which can be just as fullfilling as romantic relationships, which as a woman matures, can be few and far between. The message here is that if such women can learn their own love languages and those of the people around them, they can stop feeling anxiety ridden and disappointed about what they don't have romantically, and focus more on the relationships they do have and enrich them, thus feeding their own souls.

    Highly recommend

This book is wonderful for all relationships, romantic, coworker and housemate relationship. It has helped me with my relationship with my roommate in particular. Learning each others love language has made our daily living situations much less stressfull and we both agree it has helped each of us in our professional lives too. It is important to understand and intrepet which love language is our primary one and to learn how to speak and hear each other's language. This book is simple to understand, profound in meaning and it is now my Bible for everyday relationships.

    Everyone should read this book

This is a great book that can help any single improve their relationships with other people. I enjoyed reading this book. It was very hard to put down. My mom gave me this book after she read the original "The Five Love Languages", which is geared towards married couples. This was by far the best book that my mom has ever gotten me. I loved this book so much that I'm going to give it to my boyfriend to read and see what he thinks. Highly Recommend!

    Highly recommended

I did have to wade through a bit of christian fundementalisma and it is written to a much younger, first time singles. But the message spoke truth without the undertones!
