Sparkling Characters and Dialogue!

Oh man, I had to fight with myself to not try to read this book too quickly. I didn't want it to end (the mark of a really good book). Julie moves into her mom's old college roommate's house with her and her family. Off the bat, Julie notices something is wrong with the family. They all seem to be living different lives under the same roof. There's a mystery here but Julie doesn't know if she'll figure out what's going on.

I kind of figured out what was going on pretty early in the book but the secret is so strange and interesting, I couldn't help but keep reading to figure out what was really going on and how everything was going to come together. Park does a great job of giving hints little by little. I kind of want to go back and read the book again to see if there were any hints that I missed.

I really, really liked how the dialogue was written. I thought Park did a great job capturing the different voices of all the characters. I also really liked how Park was able to incorporate using Julie, Finn and Matt's Facebook statuses to set the scene of each chapter.

This is a great book for YA lovers. I think you're in for a real treat.

Bottom line: This is a fun read with sparkling dialogue and characters that you will really fall in love with.

The characters are somewhat flat as is the overall love affair which is the basis on which the book is built. But take it for a day and that is enough.

    #Team Flat Finn

I surprisingly liked this book. It starts off a bit slow...but about 10 or so pages in the pace picks up a bit.

Flat Finn's existence within this story is a bit odd...but, the way he's used to show the character's personality and carry the story was brillant.

I really enjoyed this book and was a bit sad when it ended. I'd definitely recommend this book. It might not become your favorite book ever but it definitely touches you and keeps you engaged.

Celeste and Flat Finn were my faves.

    An Ok read!!

I don't even know what to say about this book. This book seemed to drag.. In addition, this book didn't get interesting until the last 150 pages or so. I understand that the storyline needed all this boring dialogue to get to the heart of the story. Nonetheless, I pretty much figured what was going on. Overall it was an original and unique story but definitely lacked the attempt to draw you in and make you believe that their love was true.

    Enjoyable

I'm not one to often figure out plot twists well in advance....but this book was an exception. Even with knowing what the big issue was, I still found this book very enjoyable.

    It was ok...

I wanted to love this book because everyone else did. But it was just okay for me. It was cute but i pretty much guessed the whole book very early on and it didn't get interesting until the last 100 pages.

    Ok!

This was a very slow book i mean it was 769 pages. But the turn out was great and you whould never exspect what happens in it!

    Okay

Julie moves in with a very dysfunctional family because her Craig's list room fell through. Something's obviously off with the family and as she starts caring about them she determined to figure out what's wrong, especially with the younger sister. She tries to get both of the brothers to tell her and her relationship with them is the main part of the story.

This story was way too predictable for me. And though I liked it, it dragged too much. Also, I would have liked to see more of a response from the main love interest. Because of this the characters just ended up being okay.
