I´m a friend of the author and read the book on my iPad flying to LA from Denmark. It kept me entertained for the whole trip which was a nice surprise for someone who is not into horror. But it does contain some gore, but i especially like the fast phased action.

Got the book as a x-mas present. I am not going to claim to be an expert in T.S. Elliot but the book does have PLENTY of references. E.g. The name of the main charater is Rex Fisher. Rex means king in latin and Rex Fisher becomes Fisher King. Aprominen character in T.S. Ellito´s The Waste Land.

I really doubt whether the anonymous reader actually read the book and have studied T.S. Elliot. So watch out for the phonies and haters out there.

Back to the book – not my cup of tea. Too much military and gore and no thrills.

I think the anonymous reader must have read another book. The review reeks of personal hate. Why would you tell us that you deleted it and will not read anything further from this author? Did the author hit a nerve? And I really doubt it whether he/she studied Elliot at Oxford. That much said - it is NOT a masterpiece. BUT it is not that bad either. Actually it does have it moments. Especially the gory parts of the book are quite funny.

    Well judge for yourself.

I think the other reviewer, the friend of the author is being kind. I started to read this one during a layover in New York and found it tedious beyond words. My feeling is that the author was hoping to cash in on the references to Eliot and that some fans of the poem would pick up the book with interest. I studied Eliot as part of my degree at Oxford and I can't see a lot of basis for the claim. Anyway, I didn't finish it, I deleted it and would make sure to avoid anything by this author.
