This book is weird. It zips along, but there are one or two jarring elements that I think prevent it from being one of the better Tintins. The artwork isn't as accomplished as previous stories-at times it's very crude and scratchy-and the characters seem to be rather ill at ease and not quite themselves. But one thing it is worth reading for: the sight of Rastapopulous in THAT hat. And the redoubtably horrible Allan gets his comeuppance. So while this is still good, the other books are better. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

My #1 Childhood Favorite
Of all the books I read as a kid, the Tintin Adventure series sticks with me the tightest. This episode has Sci-Fi, high-tech jet, jungle island in Pacific, intrigue, the usual tomfoolery and gafs, Tintin's arch enemy, you name it. A page ripper for 8-10 year old boys. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
