    AMAZING

This book is truely amazing! I just read it and thought it was one of the best books I have ever read. I love planes, but don't understand everything about them. I completly understood this book. Just so you know I am 14, if that means anything.

    Great read.

I really enjoyed this book. If you like aviation stories and true life adventure (books like this are hard to find) you'll love this book.

    Accounting for the past.

This has to be the best book I have ever read. It took me back to the 60's where I was too little at the time to remember this. My dad would occasionally mention their feat when he would give me my flying lessons in the 70's. Now I know what he was talking about. This book makes me ache for the past and what I could have done with my own father if I had known what joy aviation could bring. Instead I was a typical teenager...

An Incredible book for both aviators and those who have never flown.

Rinker Buck has created one of the most vividly told stories of all time. When you finish the book, you will feel like you accomplished this huge endeavor with them, sitting right in the cockpit of their Piper Cub. It makes you want to go buy a Cub and fly the same route as Kern and Rinker Buck. Do not hesitate to buy this book...It is one book that you feel you can read for a second or third time and still feel that sensation of accomplishment.

Excellent book. Very vivid and exciting book of two young boys traveling across america in a small Piper PA-11 (N # - N4971H). Would recomend this book to anyone that is interested in aviation.

    Boyhood Adventure

Rinker Buck is a great story teller with a fine ear for the language of boys and their outlook on the world and themselves. He will draw you into his adventure and leave you feeling that you've experienced it with him.
