    Awesome game, slightly challenging

This is a great game. "The controls are too difficult";no they're not--you just have to plan ahead, just like in real soccer.
You control the people by drawing lines for them to travel on, and if you hold down on the person it will become a pass. More importantly, you can do this DURING a pass, while the ball is in the air, whenever. If you pass a ball ahead of a teammate ( on the line of travel you should have drawn earlier) he will adjust his pace to get to it. Just don't draw another line of travel for him now, otherwise he will abandon the previous one you passed to. These controls work great, even though they do take a short amount of time to get used to. When you hit the "shoot" button, the camera moves down from a helicopter view to a field view, and you flick the ball to the goal like Flick Soccer, except you set all the spin in that one swipe. You can hit the "shoot" button (at the top right of the screen) in advance, but it only lets you swipe when the ball reaches the shooter.
The levels are set up more Angry Birds style with some soccer influence: there are 8 cups for each country, and 8 "matches" per cup or more accurately, scenarios, which are things like direct free kicks, indirect free kicks, and throw-ins. If a defender intercepts the ball/blocks a shot, or if the goalie saves the shot or the ball hit the post, you fail and have to restart the whole "match", unless you chose to retake the shot for 2 coins. You win coins for a) completing a match, and b) fufilling extra challenges within the matches (e.g. scoring from outside the penalty box, passing at least 3 times prior to shooting, etc.) which equate to soccer balls similar to Angry Birds stars.
It's a great setup, and if you get stuck, you can hit the "ask andy" button for help (5 coins). Probably my only complaint is that the goalie should be more vigilant with long distance shot blocking. Also, if an entire game would be included, that would be nice. But overall, a fantastic game worth the 3.99.
