Information for parents and educators
This is a story about a family of eagles and how they overcame many obstacles that almost caused their extinction. It is also the story of a man (James Rogers)who was touched by the sight of an eagle soaring overhead and the promise he made to one day help rescue the eagle from the endangered species list. This inspired James to write a beautiful song 'Fly Eagle Fly' which influenced people to join together and caused protective eagle lands and laws to be created. It is a story of hope and promise that proves dreams followed by action, can come true. Also included in this book is an interesting and unique activities guide for parents and educators. These activities incorporate math, science, social studies, music, language arts, character education, art, and reading. In addition to James' interactive CD that will engage children in visual stimulation leading to facts about eagles, the activities guide has twelve unique exercises. Each activity is fun, adaptable, and promotes the joy of learning. It is a wonderful addition to the 'Character Counts'program too.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
