Have you ever studied astronomy? Do you remember which makes it

Have you ever studied astronomy? Do you remember which makes its own light—the sun or the moon? A young lad is praying to God about a “cosmic story” which he had heard. The pompous moon brags and boasts each night about how his great light makes the darkness flee. Then one day something arises which gives lie to the moon’s claims. Can you guess what it is? And what lesson do you think the boy asks God to help him learn from the moon?

This rhyming tale and the beautiful illustrations combine to introduce the concepts of pride and humility to children in a way that they can more easily understand them. In the back are some “Galactic Didactic” questions for discussion and a few “Did You Know?” facts about the moon. T. Lively (Tom) Fluharty is an accomplished illustrator whose artwork has appeared in such publications as Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and Focus on the Family. His wife Kristi holds a BA in technical journalism and homeschools their five daughters. Fool Moon Rising is a wonderful way to impress a very important Biblical principle on the minds of youngsters, reminding us all that everything which we have comes from God.
