    I Also Recommend:

    Entertaining but not a Heyer

This is the first Wolf book I read, and I read it because I enjoyed the forward she wrote for Georgette Heyer's novel "Sylvester (or The Wicked Uncle)" [great title right? ^_^] - she seemed to appreciate Heyer in a manner that I very much approved and agreed with. "Fool's Masquerade" was very entertaining, and it didn't stray as far from reality/the believable as I was expecting. It wasn't dirty and vulgar as so many romance novels seem to be - completely destroying the beauty of the story (assuming it has one). I could see some resemblance to Heyer, and overall it was an enjoyable book that I think most people would enjoy. I'd recommend it - I read "Fool's Masquerade" in one sitting. However, don't expect the quality of a Heyer novel (though granted all of hers weren't as great as others). Where Heyer was a master writer (one of the best of all time in capturing people and creating a wonderful story and characters), Wolf, at least in this novel is merely entertaining and fun. I've recommended some Heyer novels you'll like if you like this book. I strongly, strongly recommend you read them, and the rest of Heyer's novels. You have no idea what bliss you're missing if you haven't read "The Grand Sophy" or many other of Georgette Heyer's novels. Read them. They're essentials.
