I have never felt such emotions as when I was reading this book. To me Amber was a metaphor of an unconditional love that can pass through two people and that is rarely seen. If one pays attention to their emotions, one can sense emotions of someone they love like when they┬┐re sad, angry, and happy, with just a look. Elizabeth Lowell expressed that so vividly that chills ran through me and made me understand how it can be between two people that loved each other deeply. Of course, the steamy scenes made it all much better.

I'm glad these nookbooks weren't that expensive because this one was about on par with the first book in the series. It's just ok, I struggled to finish it because I wasn't really interested in the characters. Amber gave up too much too soon for Duncan, I wish she would've been stronger with more of a backbone. I wish she would've refused his touch at least once and put him in his place. The story was okay, I liked the twisted plot and the calculating of Lord Eric and Dominic, but I just couldn't get into the whole "love" story. It's ok, probably something I wouldn't read again though.

    Medieval times and romantic ways

I love books of this time error and I stumbled onto her 1st book of this series through the digital libary. Glad I read/listened to them and hope and can get the 3rd. She does a great job pulling together the plot, descriptions are so alive with color and feeling you feel like you are right there with the characters. When you have to stop the book, you only wish when coming out of that world that you were right back in it. Its a great old world romantic story/series.
