It's hard to believe that this installment is the tenth volume in the series, but here it is! And it is VERY good. Going to Rehab is one of the best things the Forbidden Broadway series has done for some time, and this volume will not leave fans disappointed. With some old pieces revisited, and new ones under the gun, FB/Rehab is an absolute delight. Patti LuPone gets hers, and more, in the new/old Gypsy routine (trust me, its wonderful), and Mary Poppins glumly accedes to being an underserved hit in a show that should have died in previews. But the truly hilarious, and brilliantly scathing, pieces reserved for Daniel Radcliffe in Equus and Mel Brooks for Young Frankenstein, are priceless (Irving Berlin would be SO proud). This is Forbidden Broadway at its best, and I hope it's around for another twenty-five years. If only I had thought of it first. So, if you are a long-time fan of the series, buy this new installment right now; and if you are venturing into the surreal world of Forbidden Broadway for the first time, don't delay. There's lots of dirt, dish, and delight on this disc, and you won't be dissatisfied. Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab is a sure-fire hit all by itself.
