A deep insight into paraphilias
I have seen the draft pages. It is one of the first studies attempting to examine paraphilias from multidisciplinary angles, especially from psychological, psychiatric, forensic and legal aspects. What I liked most was the author's attempt at a uniform system of classification of all paraphilias. No such attempt has been made so far, and hopefully this classification would set the benchmark for all future ones. These classifications are based on the author's unique concept of 'Theory of Paraphilic equivalence', whereby he postulates that all paraphilias are equivalent, in that they exist in various intensities among populations, and sufferers of different paraphilias can be 'mapped' to their equivalents in other categories. The three appendices at the end of the book are also very good
