Don't believe all the bad reviews

I almost didn't start this 3 part series involving the Montegomery's because of bad reviews. I liked this one a lot. 1st chapter is weird, but the story is a good, one & the characters are interesting. Can't wait to read the next one!

    Great Story, Lots of Laughs!!!

I love Darci, she just keeps the story going. Jude Deve. is a great author whether she writes modern or historical novels.

A Review... Let's just leave it at that...

uh... Boadicea Montgomery kinda reminds me of Berengaria Montgomery of 'The Heiress.' they both have the same 'blind' taste in guys... Tode was basically a good guy, even if he was carved up by his father to look like a clown, but Taylor Raeburne was (in my opinion) a tad too old for Iceni/British warrior queen who-fought-against-the-Romans namesake Boadicea Montgomery, and come on! her brother has the hots for his daughter! what kind of whatever is that? so what exactly is Darci's relationship with Isabella Raeburne, whose her sister-niece? it's too mind-boggling to contemplate...

    Very Interesting

This was my first book by Jude Deveraux. I thought the book to be a very interesting. I hope to read more from her.

    A Decent Read

I liked this book, when I finally finished it. It was a little hard to get into, and then the end was a little quick, but you find yourself loving the 2 main characters. I was actually suprised by one of the "heroes" at the end of the story.

I did not put it down...even to go to the bathroom!

Forever was a real page turner. I loved all the history, mystery and witchcraft. It is also a Montgomery book-hooray! The only thing it is missing is a real love scene, but you never miss it.

    Okay by me

This is a first Deveraux novel for me so I went in with no expectations. While the ending was too quick and glossed over for my tastes I found it a satisfying read. It played on our very human fantasies and desires for "powers" that we don't possess but all wish we did. It pitted good against evil, it gave us a love story to cheer for, it made us want... The characters required us to suspend our disbelief but were drawn well enough that it was easy to do. I usually hate romance novels in any guise but this in my opinion exemplied the positive of the genre.

    Romantically silly and delightfully mysterious!!

In all honesty...I went to bed early three evenings in a row just so I could snuggle under my covers and read it! It was a terrific, lighthearted read. A perfect selection to get real cozy on the first few chilly autumn nights.
