I absolutely LOVED looking through this book!
So many interesting finds. Some sad, some interesting, some funny.
I am curious if the author has tried to reunite some of these old letters with family members of some of these people. What a treat that would be!
I like how the author included one of his own forgotten bookmarks, and also the research and extra information he found on some.
I found the old letters/notes especially fascinating!
This is one book I will pick up again and again!
I plan to go through my own bookshelves to see if I have any hidden treasures in there!
I like how the book was set up. With scanned photos of the "bookmarks", and the covers of the books they were found in.
I also liked how they re-wrote some that were difficult to read.

    Great, fun, intriguing read

This is a great book for anyone who loves books, stories, mysteries and artifacts of times gone by. The author, a used-book seller, has collected a treasure trove of objects found in the books that come in to his shop. The items -- everything from razor blades to old family photos -- are pictured along with the books in which they were found. The book is a companion volume to the author's blog of the same name, but offers many items never before seen on the blog. Fun to page through, or to sit down and spend time with, just like the blog. Makes a great gift!
