I Also Recommend:
A decent enough Forgotten Realms story with some interresting tid-bits.
This was the first of 'The Wilds' books I have read and the first FR book I have read to take place after the Spell Plague. As a narrative it has some very interesting information on the Spell Plague and Plague lands but is only mediocre as far a general fantasy story. I could not get into the two main characters very easily as there was little to relate too. Their romance was formulaically predictable, but not very believable in the short time they had to know each other. While the characters did grow, their growth was primarily hinged upon a weakly believable romance and ultimately this made their character growth weakly believable. The character of Tarangal, however, is very intriguing and one I would like to see again.

An interesting look at a world on the edge. It could evolve or destroy itself .Classic good and evil .
