    We'll See...

Although these characters are some of my favorites from Salvatore's origional FR series, I didn't like this book as much. The plot felt slow, but I think the biggest problem was my high expectations. I bet it would have been a lot better had I read it before getting to know the characters in the other series. In any case, It provides a great back history about Cadderly and his friends, and is a must-read for any die-hard fan! I am sure it will only get better from here...

    I Also Recommend:

the main character is no drizzt

i think i mainly read salvatore's books for the drizzt character in his other series. i found this book slightly disappointing, its like reading tolkien's hobbit after reading the lord of the rings.
anyway, the story line is cute, the characters adorable, but the plot is predictable.
