I LOVED THIS SERIES. I can't say more than that.

This series starts off a little strange and you can't really see where they are going with all of this but as you progress, you see that the first book was the set up for a HUGE climax. You need to treat each book as a "Chapter" and when you hit the end, you will either absolutely love it or find it distasteful but completely in line with the mores and values of the Drow.

I got 3 books in and tried to read R.A. Salvatore's The Ghost King (Transitions Series #3) and it paled in comparison to this series. I had to stop reading it after only one chapter because I couldn't take the sugar and spice.

Be warned, once you take up The War of the Spider Queen, you may not be able to go back to the morality and sappy innocence of Drizzt's story lines.

I'm not even going to attempt to pick up Mr. Salvatore's books until I can get the Underdark and the Demon Web Pits out of my mind.

I LOVED this series!

This book is an all around good story. It takes you into a world of chaos (the Drow), However, I believe it is missing a key facet. I'd have to say that I bought this book because Homeland is probably one of my favorite books. However, in this book, the aspect that is missing is the hero, someone to root for. I find my self wondering if I should root for the Drow or the lesser creatures.

    a complete miss

This book was acomplete miss in what Salvatore made.He must not have paid attention to the world which Salvatore made.Drow are beatiful an deadly, they live for thousands of years.Thier is nothing in any realm like them, thier fighting is like know other.Ther is all so no one that can take on a Drow one on one. This author needs to know that a Drow male fights with two swords not one,not a mase or anthing else, except on a rare ocasion.Drow does not fight with long bow because ther cousin on the surfice use it.Drow do not,I repeat they do not wisper for no reason they use hand signals please go back an read about the drow.An a Drow is not going to give anydody advise about how to BBQ .I have a lot more to say about this book, but it is not all good so i am going to leave it at that. But please mr.Salvatore do no let just any autor wright anything about the Drow, the way they think or feel they should be.
