    Amazing Album

This album is truly amazing. Everything about it is great from the jaw dropping double bass (listen to 94 Hours and you'll hear what I'm talking about) to the great riffs, to Tim Lambesis' ultra hardcore voice. What makes As I Lay Dying so amazing is the technicality of their music. That really stands out in a genre full of bad musicians. They're an amazing band. So yeah I guess all I have left to say is... BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!

    Best Heavy Metal CD Ever

Back in the day, I used to listen to bands like Metallica, Slipknot, All that Remains, Black Dahlia Murder, etc. One day, my friend from church introduced me to As I Lay Dying. When he inserted their new album into his car's CD player, immediately I loved the tune. I bought their album the next day, and holy God! This CD has got to be the best heavy metal CD I have ever heard! I now have abandoned bands like Metallica and Slipknot, and As I Lay Dying is my favorite band, and probably will be for my entire life! Get this album NOW, it kicks SERIOUS metal! The Double-bass pedal action, guitars blasting through the speakers, and the powerful yet emotion-driven screams of Tim Lambesis are the BEST! AILD KICKS ALL!

    HOLY SMOKES!!!

Hands down, this has to be my favorite CD ever! The drumming/guitar wailing/screaming in this CD is out of this world. I was very impressed with the quality of music AILD put forth. Every song is great and this CD is one of the rare ones I can listen to straight through and love everything about it!!!

    Totally Astounding!!!

When I bought this CD, I had no idea that it would be worthy of one of my rare five-star reviews, but it totally blew me away. I am going on the record as saying, as of the date of this review (10/1/04) that Tim Lambesis vocals are the most hardcore I've ever heard (See the end of Distance is Darkness). The rest of the band are classic grind-core musicians with a surprising amount of melody mixed into their guitar sound. Best cuts are "94 Hours", "Forever", "Collision" "Distance is Darkness", and "Song 10". Reading the lyrics, it also seems that there are a lot of Christian themes, which is definently a cool change from many of their contemporaries. Awesome and worthy of your hard-earned money!
