    The New "Better than Beauty"

Being a newcomer to the world of entertaining and the business world, I picked up this book and certainly wasn't disappointed. I rarely watch What Not to Wear, but know Clinton Kelly from the show. It was hysterical and informative at the same time, with lessons on eating in public (anything above Denny's), and even speaking properly.

I especially liked the explanations of the categories of different events and how to dress, such as "black tie".

An overall nice read, very entertaining and a good investment.

    Love this book!

My daughter and I both loved this book when we got it from the library. I wish it was available as an e-book, but it doesn't seem to be - I think it is only in hardcover, which is fine too. I will be buying this book soon. It has recipes, fashion and home decor advice and more. The book is just like clinton - smart, funny and kind.

    The Title says it all!

Seeing that I spend every Friday with Clinton and Stacy (watching What Not To Wear) I consider them my close friends! I was so excited to hear that Clinton had written a book. Written in a very funny voice that could only be Clinton's, this book is a must have for anyone who wants to get along in the world. I think it spells out a lot of necessary manners that people don't seem to acknowledge any more. My young adult daughter found it very useful and I think I'll encourage my twentysomething son to look it over as well. There is truly something in this book to help everyone be a little more fabulous. I just wish it were longer! I want more fabulousness! Way to go Clinton!!

    BAD BOOK!

I thought this book was SO bad that I returned it--have never done that before. I like Clinton Kelly and love his show, so I thought it would be a fun book to read. I read the whole thing in about an hour, it's like a magazine. There's nothing new in it and he talks a LOT about drinking too much and taking Zanax. Good grief! It's just not a good book.

    I Also Recommend:

    Fun Read, but missing something

Overall, the book was a fun read with simple dress-well and "how to entertain" tips. However, I expected more content in the fashion section of Clinton's book. As an outspoken co-host on "What Not To Wear," I bought the book for more opinionated tips on how to achieve an overall cohesive look for every body type - tips for accessorizing your outfits and styling yourself from head to toe. Clinton covered this information briefly at the beginning of the book, but was eager to move on to a lengthy chapter about using proper grammar. After the somewhat monotonous grammar chapter, the book picks up again with useful tips about interior decorating and throwing the perfect cocktail party. I enjoyed the read, but couldn¿t help but feel a little disappointed.
