    Fun, fun, fun!

Thank you, Sharon, for giving us music teachers a fun way to teach the notes on the staff! I've tried many different approaches and methods over the nine years I've been teaching music and this is the BEST hands down! And so much fun! :-D The kids ask for me for the stories over and over again and they always want me to use the puppet. They love Freddie so much that I got in trouble with the first graders one day for not taking the Freddie puppet out with us during the fire drill!! I own two of the books and I will be purchasing the third soon and any others Sharon writes!

FREDDIE THE FROG AND THE MYSTERIOUS WAHOOOOO

What a terrific book! It is a must have for every classroom library. Used with the CD, FREDDIE THE FROG AND THE MYSTERIUS WAHOOOOO brings the power of the musical word to life. This book supports reading with expression, rhythm, and tempo. Tempo is the speed of the music. Fluency is the speed of reading. As a first grade teacher, developing oral fluency is so important with young readers. Just as notes fit together to make music, the words fit together in this expressive story. As children learn to read expressively, they gain a more in-depth understanding of the text and come to the realization that reading is fun! This is yet another great adventure with Freddie! As quoted from the story, "Together they had made a great song!"
