Simple and Witty
I bought this book after I read about it in the New York Times, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. De Pomaine's recipes are simple and easy to prepare, delicious when they're done--and the principles he lays out at the beginning really help one get a nice meal on the table in ten minutes (okay--it takes me 15, but still!) The best part, however, is the witty style, which makes it as entertaining as a novel.
