    Friends for all ages

This is a wonderful book about life and friendship for any age of reader. The pictures are amazing! The appeal for the young reader is the simple prose and colorful photographs. I anticipate many parents will be reading and re-reading this book for their children nightly. The unique aspect and engaging detail of this book is the detailed and current information illustrating how these unusual relationships occurred around the world. Although a child's book, my 16 year old daughter purchased this book to give to a friend for a graduation gift. This book is a wonderful graduation gift as it vividly reminds us how friendship is not dependent on external qualities or perceived differences. This book is a comforting and beautiful reminder of the gift of friendship for all ages. I highly recommend!

    The Next Bedtime Classic

Utterly heartwarming! This is one of those rare books that you will want to read to your kids nightly, like Goodnight Moon or Dr. Seuss--with better rhymes, better pictures and a more important message. Stunning photos and simple engaging rhymes show the beauty of language, life and friendship, making it a wonderful picture book for infants and pre-readers; and the rhymes and compelling backstories convey an important message for all kids as they start off to school.
