In response to the previous review, it does depend on the species - and the region. In the northeast US, species like bullfrogs and green frogs (Rana catesbeiana and R. clamitans respectively) can spend the winter as tadpoles. In other areas, they don't. I haven't read the book, but am considering it for my nephews because I study amphibians & reptiles for a living (including for my PhD). So...if this is the only factual concern you have, you can go back to enjoying the book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
