Sitting on the eFence between Good & Bad.
The book seemed pretty good and useful at first because I didn't know anything about Frontpage, but as I went along the chapters just seemed to get longer and longer with lots of instructions of how to click in dialogue boxes and what happens when you click 'okay' and the little box disappears. I have to say it was easy to understand, though too basic at many points. Read (skim) this book if you're looking to put up a nice looking if generic, ready-made site quickly and haven't used any earlier Frontpage editions. Refer to this book (or buy a different one altogether)only if you get stuck when trying to build a site from scratch. One of the easiest ways to get to know Frontpage 98 is to just play around with it in a dummy web that you can set up. The software that comes with the book is nice reguardless of the book's content. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
