    Interesting Read

This book was a page-turner. I enjoyed it, was a little unsatisfied with the ending; hope that there is a sequel.

    Wellington does it again...!

Another wonderful book by Wellington. I am looking forward to the next books in this series. I am glad to see that he is making werewolves into the monsters that they truly are... Bravo!!

    Making Werewolves monsters again

While I really enjoy the recent urban fantasy trend to make werewolves more accessible to people by making them more like us. (some can be good and others bad just like regular people) However, sometimes I want werewolves to be the boogieman, the big bad wolf come to destroy your home and eat you. This story makes them MONSTERS again. Bloodthirsty mane-eating monsters. Yet despite this it also keeps the characters human and explains why the wolf half hates man so much as to kill anyone on sight.
The book was well written and well worth the time for anyone who likes Urban fantacy, werewolves or monsters.

    What a find!

I haven't ever really read something like this before (more of a, pure romance person) but once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. Heck, come to think of it I was never one for a LOT of detail in scenery and what not, but this book changed my mind about that too! I'm very much looking forward to its continuation! :D Who knows? I might just read ALL of Wellington's works, he is a magnificent writer!

    Fantastic survival story!

I was thrilled with the smart writing and down to earth quality of this book. Having been jaded by the teen werewolf craze with all the angsty love stories and whiny protagonists, Frostbite was a breathe of fresh air. The book reads more like a survival story, bringing a very real quality to werewolf lore. The original setting, mysterious characters, and abrupt twists and turns are what make David Wellington edgy and unique in a world full of cupcake sci-fi.

Good writing, but over rated as a story.

I liked this book, up until about the 3/4 mark - about when the reader starts to realize that there's not really going to be an ending. It's not just an expression of horror of tragedy; the entire plot just sort of vanishes in a few pages of abdication of morality and responsibility. By the end I didn't really like any of the characters, didn't see much of a resolution, and found most of the actions unbelievable.

Just Couldn't Sink My Teeth In

I know many people loved this book but I'm sorry I'm just not one of them. I love that the author had this originally as a short story and took the advice and urgings of his fans to expand on it into a full book, I also like that the cover was an image a fan sent the author along with the suggestion of a title. And I enjoyed that Wellington opted not to glamorize lycanthropy or have a love story as the focus like so many have done. But the story is choppy, the time-line is split and doesn't flow easily. There were far to many unanswered questions throughout the book and it read more like a bad TV movie script then a novel. However if you plan to read it I'd recommend checking this book out at the library first instead of buying it.

This is yet another great book from david wellington. If you like his other books this one won't let you down. Another genre of horror he's taking on and I can't wait for more.

    frostbite is a spine chiller

i love all of David Wellingtons books and frostbite is great start to a killer series. I'm hoping for a frostbite vs. 13 bullets.

David Wellington provides horror fans with an exhilarating Arctic horror thriller

Cheyenne "Chey" Clark is camping in the Northwest Territories of the Canadian Arctic as she was hired by developers to lure a reticent hermit from his oil rich land where hunters wait to finish the job. After a dangerous night caused by melting ice flooding, she hears a howl that she assumes is a timber wolf. The feral wolf hunts her and when the moon is full traps and bites her.

When Chey awakens she finds herself in the cabin of Monty Powell suffering no physical injuries; in fact she is feeling healthier than she can ever recall. Unsure why, she knows her host is her target. However, as she feels an urge to run the tundra, Chey remains somewhat ignorant as to her condition and just who Monty is. He seeks vengeance from those who murdered his father twenty years ago and their allies; which means slicing off the head of his potential life mate whom he has made like him.

Switching from Vengeful Vampire blood to vengeful werewolf blood, David Wellington provides horror fans with an exhilarating Arctic horror thriller with the usual brilliant final twist. The story line is fast-paced with the focus on the family, as vengeance is in the Canadian air. Fans will enjoy the aptly titled FROSTBITE while wondering will he chop off her head or not and if not will she choose him or her employers?
