Backstory
What really happened at Ishabal? That' what this volume explains. We learn about the characters and what happened that day. This got intense real fast and sad too. Good volume in the Full Metal Alchemist series.

A reviewer
I liked this book but It was mainly a flashback the entire book. While it did show what the ishbal war was like I would have liked if it showed some of hte current story but still full metal alchemist is one of my favorite series and you can't go wrong with it

Arakawa fits the bill once again!
Arakawa's storytelling has risen to a whole new level with this installment of the Fullmetal Alchemist series. It's hard to ignore the parallels between it's revelations of the Ishbal war and current events in the Middle East, whether they were intentional or not. Despite it being a series for teens, Arakawa has proven once again that Fellmetal Alchemist has enough heart and intriguing story for any age to enjoy.
